Kaliko II
Kaliko was bred by Sungold kennels in Wyoming, USA and travelled to Hawaii as a puppy to his forever home with Bob Takei and his family as a much loved family member and keen outdoorsman.
Weighing in around 85 lbs/38 kgs, Kaliko demonstrates beautiful structure and an even more amazing temperament. He loves the water, and cannot get enough time playing retrieve. I cannot thank Bob enough for giving us the opportunity to use Kaliko as sire to our foundation bitch Zomarick Lady Delta.
Kaliko has sired 3 litters to date in Hawaii, and now 4 litters here in New Zealand.
Kaliko passed away in August 2021, but we still have a few straws of his on ice.

Zomarick Sir Glenfiddich...... Whisky born 12-01-2015
Whisky was bred in Canada and arrived here in New Zealand in 2015 aged 10 months.
He is LukhanGold's foundation stud dog, and will be available as a stud once he has proven himself.
We have had our first litter from Charlie and Whisky mid 2017, 13 beautiful pups,and are expecting a first litter from Whisky and Tango mid to end of 2018, all going to plan.
Whisky is a gentle yet determined young man, very tolerant of pups, yet driven to work.
He is now a proven stud, with 8 pups in his first mating, and a whopping litter of 13 pups in her first litter and 10 in her second with Charlie. His biggest litters to date were 14 pups with both Tango, and a niece of Tango called Cece.
He is still producing litters to date, with two girls expecting pups in October 2024, to Sushi and Yankee
He has also had a litter with Delta of 6 pups.
Whisky semen was only available to suitable pedigreed Golden Retrievers, but a few breeders have claimed he has sired their dogs. This is simply not true. The logo on this page will never be given as proof of his prodigy, which unfortunately is being done.

Ruger M-One of Goldstrike ...... Ruger born 27-02-2015
Ruger is a beautiful Golden who lives in Colorado with Lee Ann Heldt from Hunter's Goldstrike Kennels. Ruger loves the water and is great with retrieving.
He stands taller than both his parents, has some curl to his coat and is medium to dark red/gold in colour.
He has excellent hips and elbows, all his eye clearances, heart clearances and is clear from Ichyothosis.
He is a very good looking boy with an amazing personality.
We have only a very limited number of matings from this gorgeous boy, therefore there is nothing available outside our kennels.

Lukhangold Piwaka Romeo....... Romeo born... 18-03-2020
Romeo was born to Emoline, (a pup from Charlie and Whisky) and Ruger (frozen semen)
He is to be one of our next generation studs as he has passed all his health clearances. His DNA tests are clear for all inheritable diseases and traits. He has also had his hips and elbow clearances done too.
Romeo had his first litter in November 2023 with Sushi, producing 8 outstanding and very driven pups.
He will only produce litters to carefully chosen females, as presently he is too closely related to most of our girls.
